BNP Paribas Real Estate was chosen by Skanska as the property manager of the first office building developed as part of the Silesia Business Park. Developed in Katowice, the project will ultimately consists of four office buildings. Each of the buildings will cover ca. 11 000 square metres of A class office space. 600 parking places will be built in the complex. The Silesia Business Park will be LEED Gold certified.
Silesia Business Park is characterised by a very good location. It is situated at Chorzowska street, in the direct vicinity of the Silesia City Center, a shopping and service centre. There are three bus and tramway stops near the complex which ensure quick connection to the near-by Katowice centre and other city parts.
Apart from the very good location, the Silesia Business Park also offers modern solutions ensuring comfortable use of office spaces. Thanks to the solutions, there will be, for instance, 30% more of fresh air in rooms than as required by the standards applicable in Poland. The buildings are also designed so as to ensure maximum access to daylight on workstations. The many facilities also include full infrastructure for people using bicycles: monitored bicycle parks, showers and dressing rooms.
The highest quality of the project and sustainable development solutions are the characteristic marks of the properties developed by Skanska. Silesia Business Park is Skanska’s first project in the Katowice market and the first building in Katowice to be managed by BNP Paribas Real Estate – said Grzegorz Dudziak, CEE Property Administration Department Director at BNP Paribas Real Estate. We are the leader among independent office property managers in the Continental Europe. The first tenant of the office space developed within the Silesia Business Park is PwC Service Delivery Center, which has leased almost 6 800 square metres. The second building within the complex is being built. It will be completed at the turn of Q3 and Q4 2015.
The architectural design of the complex was prepared by Medusa Group in Silesia. The general contractor is Skanska S.A., Skanska Property Poland being in charge of commercialisation.
